Mia is an undergraduate Fashion Design student at Parsons School of Design in NYC.
Mia was born and raised in Miami, Florida, and is based between New York City and Miami. She began sewing at 8 years old and taking pictures at an early age with a Polaroid camera. Having an infatuation for analog photography, she switched the Polaroid for a 35mm film camera and started directing/photographing fashion photoshoots with friends and peers.
Her work focuses on mirages and the illusions that reside between the inside/outside self. Mia’s fascination with the presentation of appearance manifests through her avant-garde projects. Eccentric minimalism is how she describes her art style, favoring mediums of garmentry, collage, and film photography work.
